In this highly interactive talk, Fran Watson introduces students to some geometrical visualisation, exploration and origami to help develop mathematical reasoning. You can find versions of the paper-folding activities Fran introduces in the Modular Making collection.
This talk was originally given to an audience of Y12 A-level Maths students (aged 16-17). The talk was part of an enrichment event with a particular focus on helping students to develop their mathematical thinking. The talk was recorded at the Centre for Mathematical Sciences, University of Cambridge, on 8 July 2016.
