Paper snowflake

Snowflakes, famously,  have six-fold symmetry.

Here are some photographs of snowflakes with six-fold symmetry, each one made from a single square sheet of paper (12 cm by 12 cm) by folding and cutting. 

Which one interests you? Can you work out how to make it?

Can you create one as a challenge for someone else to try and make?
 
You may like to try some simpler shapes made by folding and cutting a single sheet of paper before tackling this challenge.
 
Or perhaps you'd like to see someone else making the six-fold paper template and cutting a snowflake from it.
